The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it truly is alarmed with regards to the significant amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the significant amount SRD of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The company point produced for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging to the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to empower the servicing of all buyers and increase use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
